About Jessica



Hey, I’m Jessica (she/her)

I am a student therapist and qualifying registered psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My personal philosophy is based in client-centred care. I will use my background and experience to ensure that your counselling needs are met with genuineness and empathetic understanding so that we can build a strong therapeutic relationship. Life can sometimes feel difficult and overwhelming and reaching out for help is the first step in your healing journey. As clients, I believe that you already possess the necessary skills needed to live up to your full potential and improve your quality of life. I wish to help you feel comfortable enough to share your worries and anxieties with me so that we can collaborate and come up with a sustainable and positive plan of action.

I have an undergraduate degree in psychology and anthropology from Trent University. I also have a post-graduate certificate in addictions and mental health counselling from Durham College, with clinical practicum experience in a hospital out-patient care centre. I also have over ten years of experience with children and youth working in educational and school settings as a support worker for children with special needs and exceptionalities. Currently, I am completing my masters in counselling psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and I am registered as an RP (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
