I’m a Registered Psychotherapist-(Qualifying) who believes that each of us has gifts and exceptional potential, but sometimes life doesn’t go as planned. Through my own challenging experiences, I learned that we all deserve to live in a contented way where we feel safe and validated in non-judgmental connection with others.
Having experienced difficult transitions, overwhelm, grief, anxiety and sadness, I approach these issues with both experience and education. I wish to create a supportive environment to heal, do meaningful self-work, cope with situations that were out of your control or simply be a person to be present with you as you are.
If anxiety, depression, anger, grief, over or under-functioning, focus issues, PTSD, ADHD or other problems limit your happiness, mental health, time, and sense of safety, I’d be honoured to be there with you. If you’re feeling stuck or having issues with your partner/s, family, co-workers, or all the many kinds of relationships we find ourselves in and need safe outside support, we can work at your pace in a supportive way.
At times we all need help, and asking for it is an act of courage and strength. The first step to the necessary shifts. I would be honoured to help you along with your goals or experiences or just be there to support you.
The critical piece to all work we’ll do is Self-Compassion, the guiding principle.
As a therapist, I hope to meet you where you’re at. I work in a primarily Trauma Informed Humanistic Client-Centred, non-judgmental manner that embraces psychodynamic work.
I am versed in anti-oppressive frameworks that are necessary for many communities: IBPOC, Disability, chronic pain, cultural complexity, socio-economic challenges and the LGBTQIA2S+. I welcome all individuals equally if we’re all to go to a future filled with peace. We all deserve to feel comfortable and safe to be who we are.
