FAQs

Who can join your workshops and groups?

Our workshops and groups are open to individuals who are interested in personal growth, emotional well-being, and learning in a supportive environment. Some groups may be designed for specific populations (e.g., parents, teens, or caregivers), so be sure to check the details for each offering.

Do I need to have prior experience with therapy to participate?

Not at all! Our workshops and groups are designed to be accessible to everyone, whether you’re new to therapy or have previous experience. We’ll guide you through everything you need to know.

What’s the difference between a group and a workshop?

Workshops are usually more structured and educational, focusing on specific topics and skills. Therapy groups, while also structured, often include more space for sharing and processing experiences in a therapeutic setting.

Will I have to speak or share personal details?

Sharing is always optional. We create a safe, respectful space, and you’re encouraged to participate in a way that feels right for you.

As a psychotherapy practice based in Kitchener, Ontario, we acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabeg peoples. This land is part of the Haldimand Tract, which was promised to the Six Nations of the Grand River.

We recognize the longstanding relationships with the land that Indigenous peoples have maintained as its original caretakers. Our practice extends its services across Canada, and we acknowledge that our work spans many traditional Indigenous territories. We recognize that there are 46 treaties and other agreements that cover the territory now called Ontario. As we operate in various locations, we commit to learning about and respecting the specific Indigenous communities in each area where we provide our services.
